The BRSCC Avon Tyres National Formula Ford 1600 Championship is THE junior single seater category with great racing and regular appearances alongside the high-profile TCR Touring Car series. The Pro National Championship is a cost-effective launchpad for young, career minded drivers providing a stepping stone for the higher echelons of the sport. In 2019, some of our recent entrants will be competing in the F3 Americas Championship, European GT, British F4 and also at the highest levels of Esports. Further back in time, F1 World Champions Emerson Fittipaldi, Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna all started their car racing careers in this category. A Rookie Class makes it possible for those new to Formula Ford 1600 to earn recognition from the start of the season. Those who compete for fun are also catered for with a Clubman Class. This runs within the main series providing everyone with something to aim for. The Championship offers plenty of track time for all drivers with 7 Triple Header meetings and 1 Double Header. When the weekend includes is a third race, this will feature a partially reversed grid. For more details please visit the National FF1600 website.
